Traveling with a pet? Upon arrival, your pup will receive a Posh Pet Gift Pack filled with fun, beach-ready goodies. Each pack also includes a Posh Pet Photo Contest card with a QR code for easy uploads - simply share a photo of your furry friend enjoying their new gear and bandana. Cake by the Ocean is gorgeous with its bright, open-concept floor plan. There is plenty of room for gathering to watch sporting events or movies while meals are prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen. You'll enjoy peaceful sunsets from the outdoor balcony or enjoy board games and puzzles inside after a fun day at the beach.

Guests will certainly enjoy the close proximity to the amazing Prominence community amenities. The 5,000 sq. ft. pool is surrounded by a large pool deck and nice shady areas.

DOG FRIENDLY WITH STIPULATIONS***
We welcome well-trained non-shedding dogs to stay in this home. A daily pet fee will be charged after your reservation is made, should you decide to bring a furry friend. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate-trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations, any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00. Please no cats for allergenic reasons.


About Prominence on 30A - Watersound, Florida
Prominence is one of the most popular communities on 30A and features incredible amenities, open green spaces and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Prominence is perfectly located to new and long time 30A haunts as well as the beautiful white beaches of Scenic 30A. Guests will enjoy a beautiful town center and 2 resort style pools.

Located at the town center, the Big Chill is a hot-spot for entertainment and features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen for sporting events and movie nights on the green. Concerts, family activities, restaurants, and boutique shops are just some of the things to do within a less than 5 minute walk. 

Prominence is centrally located on 30A between Seagrove and Seaside to the west and Alys and Rosemary Beach to the east.

Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.


INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Good Vibes
Unit was spotless...Loved the Colorful art throughout. Beds and Couch were comfy...Well Stocked Kitchen...Great neighborhood feel with lots of kids and bicycling. The Garage was like a Alvin's Beach Store...Well Stocked. Would return. Check in Technology was a little cumbersome with no personal contact...all done thru website and via text.

Stayed at “Cake by the Ocean” for a week and didn’t want to leave! Everything was exactly as advertised - and better! Being a pet friendly spot, you couldn’t tell that any animal had ever been there before; it was so clean!
We cooked most of our meals, and I was impressed how well stocked the kitchen was (you do have to pack all the little food items like olive oil, s&p, etc). They also have all the beach equipment which saved us a lot of packing and rental money. The entire place is very thoughtfully labeled and communicated throughout the space. I took about 45 min to read through their info binder re rules and beach access points, etc. and found that to be very helpful!
My only complaint (which is independent of the place itself and more so towards Panhandle management) was that communication with Panhandle was difficult prior to my arrival. I did have to recruit Airbnb support but they were AWESOME and were very on top of it all.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

Thank you for the review! We're so glad you had a great time. The closest beach access is Deer Lake, which is a little over half a mile and a quick golf cart ride away. It was recently reopened after the addition of new features, and our guests love that it's pet-friendly, accessible, and has parking, restrooms, a picnic pavilion, and a nature trail. We enjoyed hosting you and we hope you can visit us again soon!

Fantastic vacation home in a very nice sought and after location. Extremely organized and clean property. The owners truly thought of everything! The pet restrooms were very accessible and accommodating. The grounds and pool are both beautiful! Can’t wait until next year…..or sooner!

The Perfect Getaway, Per Usual
My husband and I stayed here last year and we felt silly booking such a spacious home for just the two of us. This year, we returned to this homey neighborhood and brought friends with us. This place is perfect for kids & pets and literally feels like our home at the beach. Everything is fully equipped and clean and we will most likely be returning every year.

BEST STAY ON 30A
I knew after reading the prior reviews on "Cake By the Ocean" I knew this property would not disappoint. To see it in person and my families reaction was priceless. This home is a dream for any mom or dad who runs a tight ship with their family and loves an organized house. This house had every accommodation I could think of. A true dream when you are on vacation. This home is so organized, clean and beautiful, I would definitely plan another stay here. The bikes in the garage was a bonus. We felt bikes were more needed than a golf cart. I was so glad this property was available for our last minute booking for Spring Break. It truly was a blessing. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place!
This was a beautiful property in a great location. Absolutely immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked. This was our first visit to 30A and the beach access points were unclear when we were exploring online but the owner had a detailed notebook filled with everything you needed to know about the area. And they had everything you could possibly need to go to the beach. We loved it so much we actually looked at some other homes in the property that were for sale! We will definitely be going back next year.

Lovely Home
We were very pleased with “Cake by the Ocean.” Beautifully decorated home with well stocked kitchen. We had two teenaged boys (15 y.o.) that loved having The Big Chill (The Hub) in the community. Relaxing atmosphere without being overly crowded. We will return!

Truly Cake by the Ocean
I have never been so in love with a property I was ready to move right in! My husband and toddler stayed for 4 nights. It was immaculately clean, bright, organized and stocked beyond my wildest dreams (minus groceries and beach towels). All of the labeling (light switches, cabinets, drawers with pictures) was super helpful. It actually inspired me to re-organize my own home! Just enough toiletries, laundry and dishwashing detergent provided. Property was conveniently located to The Hub which had several quick lunch and dinner options. Publix, CVS, beach access, shops and restaurants were all a very short drive too. We are looking forward to booking a return trip in the future :)

Overall, I had a great stay. The townhome was clean, spacious and bright. While the stairs are maneuverable for my family, families with older adults might need to check the suitability of this rental. I liked the fact that the unit was cleaned just prior to our arrival but I would suggest spacing rentals just to be cautious. I would highly recommend this dog-friendly location for the family traveling with Fido.

A slice of heaven
Our family stayed at Cake by the Ocean in Prominence last week and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The neighborhood was great for our girls to bike around, for us to walk our puppy, and close to shops and restaurants across the street at the Hub. The house was beautifully decorated and well maintained. We were so impressed at how clean & organized it was. The short ride to the beach was not bad at all and we enjoyed having access to the pool. It was centrally located so very easy to get to Seaside, Rosemary and Aly’s Beach from there. We highly recommend!

Great vacation spot
Located in a great area across from The Hub only downfall was not having the beach close enough to walk and shuttle wasn’t running during our stay. Place was very clean and well equipped

Great stay that exceeded expectations
We were very impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the property. It was perfect for our family of 3 (plus 2 dogs). There don’t appear to be many/any grocery items left between guests, so be sure to bring kitchen items like salt/pepper, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Easy and Relaxing
Great property within Prominence at Watersound. We often travel with our pet and this complex makes it easy. We’ve stayed in Prominence several times in the off season. 44C was comfortable, newish, and modern. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Kitchen was more than adequate. Perfect for couples or small families. The Hub across the street was convenient for drinks and lunches. This was a late January business trip, so we were not accessing the beach.

Great little place to stay. Very clean! The Hub across the street is a great add on for entertainment . The neighborhood is quite and well kept. Perfect size place for a family of 4.

Month Visit to Florida
This was a lovely condo in a newer nice neighborhood. Location was great and easily accessible to many places. The condo was nicely stocked with everything one could need in the kitchen. The only disappointing factor was that the pool was not heated.

Perfect long weekend getaway
We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed your townhome. It was immaculate, bright and clean. The 2nd bedroom was a bit tight with 2 full size beds (there was no nightstand) but it was fine for our 2 boys. This is not a beachfront unit and the closest beach access is just under a mile away but if you have bikes or a golf cart it's very easy to get to. The pool area is also very nice but just know that it is no heated so it could be a bit chilly. We are looking forward to our next trip to the 30A area!

Nice condo Santa Rosa Beach
Nice, new clean condo in a family and very dog friendly community. Walk across the street to a number of small restaurants with different kinds of food. My only complaint about our particular condo is, we didnt want to eat out every night and there were no condiments, spices or oils. Maybe its matter of insurance and liability but it made it a bit difficult cook at home.

Beautiful and clean
We had a great stay. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The condo was clean and well stocked with top notch cooking supplies. Beds were comfortable and cozy. No complaints we would book abouther stay there.
