Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Great pools!

Great Labor Day vacation
My husband and I enjoyed a week with friends - this was our first trip. Great beach view, pool, tiki hut and location near restaurants. We were able to rent chairs and umbrella from the vendor who had everything set everyday at 9am sharp. The condo was very pretty and had plenty of room for 4 adults. The grocery store was close by so we were able to balance eating in versus eating out. Great Location on the Beach!
The pictures and the view from the balcony that was online was exactly what it looked like. Even though we were on the 5th floor the elevators are never very far from any of the condos. We had two small kids and it worked great for us. You are right across the street from Big Kahunas water park. You come down the elevator and walk out the back door and there are two pools on each side and in a few steps there is a tiki bar, which was great and there is a short walkway and you walk right onto a beautiful private beach.Lesa C. - Posted: 8/18/2022

Great View
We had to push our trip back a day because of Hurricane Sally and Panhandle Getaways was great pushing the whole trip back a day. We also added a day to the trip. Super easy. Since there were no guests in the condo for 2 and half days before our arrival we asked about early check in and the gentleman said “No problem. Just call is when you get here and we will get you an early code.” I called about an hour before arriving to get the code for checking but the lady i spoke with said it hadn’t been cleaned and when it was ready they would call. I called back after an hour and they said the same thing. Called again after and hour and same thing. They kept trying to text the housekeeper and never heard anything back so I said “screw it” and waited until checkin at 4. Went to condo and code worked and lo and behold the condo had already been cleaned. Never in my life have I heard of a condo rental/hotel to not have a unit cleaned immediately following a guest departure. Panhandle Getaways just didn’t want to worry with letting somebody checkin early. Other than dealing with that, the condo was good. View is great. Lovely condo
This is a lovely condo with easy access to the beach. Pelican Beach Resort is a nice family oriented resort with nice amenities for their clients. A separate beach service provides setups on the beach if desired. Be aware they don’t allow tents set ups. Also apparently you can go online and reserve setups which will preempt anyone that reserves a setup once at the beach. There were days we were bumped from front row to second row because of this. Our week at Pelican Beach was very enjoyable. It is centrally located in Destin to many wonderful activities and restaurants. My only complaint about our condo would be the water pressure. We had a two bedroom two bath condo and no two people could shower at the same time. If someone flushed the toilet or ran the washer, the water stream in the sinks or showers slowed to a trickle. Unit 513
This Unit was very nice and clean. Was extremely updated and had a nice view of the beach from the balcony. My only complaint was not about the Unit but the beach. There were multiple “no tents allowed” signs. They had 3 rows of rental chairs set up to where you literally had NO choice but to purchase a chair ($35 a day or $175 for a week) for you to even really see the ocean! Which is ridiculous. Not everyone wants to rent a beach chair. The problem is not that they have rental chairs...that’s normal. I understand you can not set up in front of them (very normal) but 3 rows is a little excessive all the way down the front of the beach. We paid to go to the beach to enjoy it! Not stare at the backs of people’s heads all day and struggle to “squeeze” between the many rows of rental chairs just to get to the water! We were also fine with the “no tent” situation. BUT prior We did bring a small sun shade for our 6 month old which we were told we were not allowed to use...but then 2 days later a family set up THREE Tents side by side on the beach and they allowed this for them. Great resort
Great service. The room was great. Kids loved the pool and easy access to the beach. Didn’t care much for the private beach chair set up because you couldn’t set up your own chairs and umbrella in front of theirs. Overall great stayStevie H. - Posted: 5/6/2019

Girls trip

Very clean and great location

Very nice. It's a beach condo so it's what I expected.

Good bargain, has all of the amenities (nice pool area, tiki hut, hot tub, etc.). Clean unit.
Unit was nice (clean, decent size two bedroom, good views). Beach access and parking were convenient. There was a nice grilling area. The gym was nice. It was a family friendly atmosphere the week we were there. We had a fun few days there. Unit had three nice TV's but no cable boxes (so only a handful of local channels were HD). Expect to pay $30/day if you want to rent an umbrella and two chairs, or set up your own behind a row or two of wall to wall rentals (no front row without renting theirs). The hot tub is a bit small (says a max of 5 people) for 400ish units. The indoor/outdoor pool, in addition to the main outdoor pool, gives some cool weather options.John M. - Posted: 4/10/2017

Excellent stay

Great location, even better view!

Perfect weather, perfect view, and beautiful condo!!!!
From beginning, to end, this was by far the best vacation that my family and I have ever had. When my husband and I called to book, we were greeted with a very knowledgeable reservationist. The booking process was very easy, and within 10 minutes, we were booked and received an email with our lease agreement. Then the fun began! When we entered the room, it was gorgeous. It looked just like the pictures that we saw on the listing. Everything was spotless, down to the silverware! My husband and I loved that we could access the balcony from our master bedroom. We had one issue with our cable in the bedroom, but the staff was able to walk us through the remote setup within five minutes!! The amenities at the resort were great and the The Big Kahuna water park was right across the street. My wife loved shopping at Destin Commons!! We have already made plans to return for Spring Break and we are trying to talk our retired parents in to spending a month there this winter. This is a very family friendly resort and we met a LOT of really nice people while we were there. I will definitely recommend this unit to all of my friends and family!Anonymous - Posted: 11/5/2013

Beach at your doorstep
Stayed here for 3 nights over spring break and enjoyed it. The pictures were what they say they are. We had the pool as you open the living room door and the beach was a few steps away. The property was very clean inside and outside. I saw security patrolling esp at night and is a plus when considering this property. There's a shopping center at walking distance to the left and right as you go out of the property and a grocery store nearby.
