Pet friendly beach house rental, 6th Street Retreat, located in Port St Joe, FL by Panhandle Getaways is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom vacation home with private pool and complete with all of the conveniences of home.

Traveling with a pet? Upon arrival, your pup will receive a Posh Pet Gift Pack filled with fun, beach-ready goodies. Each pack also includes a Posh Pet Photo Contest card with a QR code for easy uploads - simply share a photo of your furry friend enjoying their new gear and bandana. If your pet is featured on our website or social channels, you’ll receive special swag or exclusive discounts. Sunshine, sand, and tail-wagging adventures await!

PORT ST JOE
Port St. Joe, located along Florida’s Forgotten Coast in Gulf County, is a charming and laid-back coastal town known for its natural beauty, rich history, and welcoming community. Nestled on the shores of St. Joseph Bay, the area offers stunning water views, pristine beaches, and some of the best fishing and scalloping in the region. Port St. Joe is steeped in history, once serving as Florida’s first state capital and now home to quaint shops, locally owned restaurants, and a historic downtown. Outdoor lovers are drawn to its easy access to boating, kayaking, and hiking trails, particularly in nearby St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Despite its small-town feel, Port St. Joe boasts a strong sense of community and regularly hosts family-friendly events and festivals. It’s a favorite destination for visitors seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of larger beach towns, offering a perfect mix of relaxation, recreation, and Southern hospitality.

PET FRIENDLY WITH STIPULATIONS
We welcome one well-trained dog under 30 lbs. to stay in this home. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00.

INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Nice home. Has all necessities for your stay. Quiet safe neighborhood. Personal in ground pool is perfect and grill. Close to town, shops, and restaurants. Walking distance for sure. Close to marina, grocery store, and parks for beautiful sunsets.

Port St. Joe - Florida at it's best

We had a lovely stay, great location near fabulous food, endless options for day trips. House was everything as advertised and had an amazing kitchen and back yard. Comfortable king bed. Lovely that the rental is dog friendly. We hope to return. Locals were incredibly friendly.

Great stay!

We had a great stay. I wasn’t sure about the location but we ended up really liking it. Since there are no neighbors, it felt very private as it’s sort of situated between the residential area and the commercial area. We found it pretty quiet and and very relaxing. We enjoyed walking from the house to dinner, to get coffee and donuts or browse the shops. The owners were easy to communicate with and very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Lovely Stay

The house was exactly how it was described, clean and super comfortable - had all the kitchen equipment you could ask for! The pool was perfect and we had a nice, short walk into downtown. No immediate neighbors on any side, which was a plus for our all-girls group. Property owner came by personally when our trash can went missing. Will definitely stay again when heading to Port St Joe!
