Digital Graffiti is an annual event held each May in the charming beach town of Alys Beach located in Scenic 30A. The event transforms the town into a vibrant outdoor gallery where cutting-edge digital technology brings art to life on the iconic white walls of the architecture that encompasses the town. This year’s Digital Graffiti will take place May 15-17, 2025.
The one-of-a-kind art festival uses advanced digital technology to project original artworks onto the town’s signature white architecture. This series of events celebrates the fusion of art, technology, and design, transforming the New Urbanist town into an open-air, nighttime gallery spanning nearly a mile.
Around 70 works are showcased on exterior walls, architectural details, walkways, and landscapes during Digital Graffiti. The exhibits feature a mix of international submissions, pieces by local artists, emerging talent, and creative collaborators.
Award Winning Art Festival on 30A
This unique art exhibition has received several awards, including the 2024 CODA award for Collaboration of Design and Art in Residential Projects. National Geographic has spotlighted Digital Graffiti in Alys Beach as one of the world’s top unconventional art destinations. Smithsonian Magazine also named it one of the top five light-projection art festivals.
Exhibiting Artists at Digital Graffiti
Each year, Digital Graffiti invites digital artists from around the globe to share their creative vision through a juried projection art show, generously underwritten by the Alys Foundation. The open call draws submissions from international artists, with finalists selected by the festival curator in collaboration with a team from Alys Beach and its production partners.
Finalists’ works are projected throughout the town during the festival and evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges with expertise in art, architecture, and technology. Artists compete for several awards, including Best in Show with a $5,000 prize, Curator’s Choice with a $2,000 prize, and three Special Recognition prizes at $1,000 each.
In addition to the juried show, Residency Artists are invited to Alys Beach ahead of the event to develop site-specific works. These artists receive a stipend and are provided accommodations to support their creative process. Juried finalists are also encouraged to attend the festival in person, with lodging and access to exclusive events included.
Digital Graffiti Schedule of Events
Each year the event holds guided tours through the New Urbanist town and several panel discussions as part of Digital Graffiti.
The Alys Beach Town Architect leads a guided tour through the Digital Graffiti Festival path to discuss the intersection of architecture and digital projection art. This casual, informative, pre-sunset walk explores Alys Beach's white stucco exteriors as the ideal living canvas for projection mapping and digital art projections. Audiences will gain insights into the creative and technical process behind the placement of each piece.
Many of the artists and technicians contributing to Digital Graffiti are working on extraordinary projects, from arena concert productions for high-profile performers to magical light displays and The Sphere in Las Vegas. This is your chance to hear about their creative process, the balance between personal creativity and commercial work, and how to translate creative talents into a career-driven skillset. Art Meets World is a panel of creatives and educators that explores the role of commercial art in our daily lives.
Digital Graffiti opens with the exhibition integrated with an all-inclusive food and beverage experience for adults 21 and up. The festival path is lined with art installations intermixed with tasting presentations from the region’s best chefs, restaurants, winemakers, distilleries, and breweries. There will be entertainment and DJs.

Digital Graffiti Educational Initiatives
Since 2007, Digital Graffiti has evolved into a dynamic platform for education and collaboration, using its festival environment as a creative outlet for exploring digital art in an architectural environment. Through its education initiative, the festival hosts panel discussions and student outreach programs that deepen engagement with the artistic process and the intersection of art, technology, and architecture.
The festival partners with schools and universities to support emerging artists, offering students the chance to exhibit their work alongside professionals through the Emerging Artist Showcase.
Alys Foundation is a nonprofit organization established to support the long-term community values of the town and it is the host of the event each year. Funds are used to finance community, environmental, cultural, and educational programs at Alys Beach as well as to help other nonprofit organizations in the greater community.
Over the past 17 years, the Alys Foundation has contributed more than $300,000 in prizes and stipends, exhibiting its commitment to advancing digital art in public spaces.
